10 Things Dialysis Patients Don't Know That They Should Know

Actually! This Blog Post is targeting Dialysis Patients who dare to, (not just dream of a cure), but for those who are willing to Advocate, Fight and Seek Out a CURE or Cures that will end their Pain and Suffering for the rest of their lives, thus allowing them to die naturally instead of something as unnatural as having End Stage Renal Failure and needing a machine or a kidney from a cadaver, (not to live); but to just survive.

For everyone else, you can either choose to be educated about the fact surrounding your illness and the industry that is responsible for treating it; or, you can just close your browser and tune this Actual and Factual Information out.

1. The Dialysis Industry does not want you to even think that you can be cured, because if you start doing that and that excitement, enthusiasm and energy is transferred to other patients who never even considered the possibility, this would be disastrous to this industry's Business Model and Profit Structure.

2. The Dialysis Industry is built in such a way that the sicker you are; the more money they make.

3. Instilling in Patients Helplessness, Hopelessness and a Total Unending Dependency on the Dialysis Industry and the Kidney Transplantation Industry is built into the Systematic Training of each and every employee on every level from the Nephrologists down to the Dialysis Technicians who put you on and take you off, (hopefully very carefully and safely); the machine.

4. Dialysis Center Managers, Social Workers, Dietitians and Technicians, receive Company Bonuses including Prizes, Awards, Recognition, Promotions, Trips and Cash for Manipulating Patients into accepting things that they may not want or need to survive-Things like: Unnecessary Access Surgeries, Unnecessary and Toxic Pharmaceuticals whose Side Effects are worse than the conditions that they are supposedly created to correct, Referrals to Specialists (in and out of Nephrology), and other excesses in Dialysis Products and Services,for the primary purpose of generating more Profits for the Center and the Corporation that owns the Center.

5. If you are so inclined to dreaming about the day that you get your life back as the result of a CURE, or you Demand that Nothing Be Done To Your Body Against Your Will- YOU will be labeled as an "Outcast" with Defamatory Titles such as: "Trouble Maker", "Crazy", "Ignorant About The Nature of Your Illness" and most famously: "Non Compliant" or "Disruptive". Note: the latter is reserved for those who Actively Refuse certain Surgeries and Medications or other Procedures that the patient themselves feel is more harmful to their bodies than the conditions that they are told they will correct.

6. Once you are labeled with any of the Character Assassinations above; you are subject to Corporal Punishment up to and including the Discontinuance of Life Sustaining Treatment, (which according to the U.S. Government; these Dialysis Centers and Dialysis Corporations have a Legal Right to do). In other words, if you do not accept every Product, Service or Treatment that they Prescribe for you or agree with EVERYTHING they do or say-They have the Legal Right to (Let You Die), by completely and totally cutting you off from the treatment that assists in your survival. Note: The Government Entity that Approves of and Condones these types of actions against dialysis patients who realize that they still have Legal Rights as Human Beings under the U.S. Constitution is the CMMS. You probably know them as the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

7. This Business Model is not based on (Just) keeping you alive. This business is based on Capitalizing, (For Profit); on Our Pain, Our Fear, Our Suffering and Our Natural Fear as Human Beings of Dying-Not on Empathy, Concern or Individualized Treatments that best suit the Individual Characteristics and Lifestyle of its Customers, "Patients".

It's One Size Fits All.

8. There are currently many organizations and people who you will not hear about from the staff at your dialysis center, (because that is not a part of their training), who are Actively Involved in Producing Safe, Effective and Affordable Cures for End Stage Renal Failure but; you will never hear about them unless you join with others to do the work and research necessary to allow the people who are working on these cures to continue without being Bought or Intimidated to the point where the risks outweigh the benefits for those who seriously want to end the pain and suffering that End Stage Renal Failure creates in the lives of millions of people everyday.

9. You need to know that the reason you hear about Human Trials and Potential Cures for Cancer, Aids, Diabetes and other diseases that like Kidney Failure, were once considered "Incurable" is no accident. Its the Corporate Doctors, Lawyers and Lobbyist who Manipulate our Government to do its bidding so they can continue to protect their Power, Greed, and Insatiable Thirst for Constantly Increasing Profits, no matter how many People Suffer for the rest of their lives or Die because of this, and other very Painful and Deadly Diseases.

You need to know that unless and until, "We The People", (Because Patients Are People Too), and those of us who are Americans are also Citizens of the United States of America, who have certain unalienable Rights. Until WE, (Not Somebody Else); Stands Up, Speaks Out and Demands that this Industry Implements Reforms that Balance Concern for Patients with Maximizing Profits-These Deplorable and Inhumane Conditions that exist within this industry that allows people to be treated like Cattle instead Thinking, Feeling and Hurting Human beings will remain in place.Because, POWER Concedes Nothing Without A Fight

Until we get together and Organize, then it will be every Man, Woman and Child for themselves against this industry. And on an Individual Basis, we can't do anything to bring down this GIANT.

That's why we need to fight for a cure.

That's why were are advocating for the release of all Potential Cures that are Currently being Suppressed for Profit's Sake, be released for Human Clinical Trials for those who are willing to take a chance at Freedom Through A Cure rather than staying on Dialysis for the rest of their lives or getting a Kidney Transplant-A procedure that, (in spite of what your Kidney Professionals tell you), has not been perfected.

In addition, the last time I checked, those Anti Rejection Drugs that a Transplant Patient needs for their entire life is only covered by Medicare for only 3 years.

So if you do manage to have a Successful Transplant, it is important to note that most transplant patients do experience some level of pain and suffering as a result, because a Kidney Transplant, just like Dialysis is not a CURE.

It's just another for of Lifetime Treatment.

So if you are fortunate enough to remain healthy enough to work for the rest of your life to pay for a lifetime supply of these Anti Rejection Drugs, then you are truly in the minority.

Because most people who have a Kidney Transplant usually get just as sick as, (if not more so), then people on Dialysis.

Are willing to temp fate?

I'm still convinced that a CURE is the best way to go and the best way to spend your energy and time working for .

My message and this blog is directed at those who have not been Programmed by the Dialysis Industry to give up all Hope of a Cure.

This blog is dedicated to those who dare to dream and work towards forming a movement to find a cure for End Stage Renal Failure.

If you look around you, you will see and hear people talking about cures for cancer, cures for AIDS, cures for Heart Disease and cures for many other diseases that were once considered to be incurable.

At the same time, you never, ever, ever hear about any Organized Efforts in play to end the pain and suffering of millions of patients who suffer daily as a result of End Stage Renal Failure and the Industry that Magnifies that Pain and Suffering with Austere, Antiquated and Outdated Polices, Practices and Procedures which they impose upon their Captive Audiences who are SICK.

They do this dirt because they can.

And I call on all people who have experienced this abuse personally or witnessed other patients being abused unnecessarily, to come and join this movement knowing that, (the only way to put an end to these Silent Atrocities and the Pain and Suffering that it causes is to Advocate, Research and do the necessary work to make a cure for End Stage Renal Failure a Reality).

Are You Being Accessed To Death?

This is a warning to all Dialysis Patients who may not be aware of the fact that sometimes, in their haste to boost profits, some dialysis centers,(especially as a result of the Nephrologist), who is the highest earning staff member at a center with the authority to order these surgeries), sometimes will overload the bodies of dialysis patients with unnecessary accesses.

Even in my early years as a dialysis patient, I was instinctively aware of this practice when the Nephrologist at my first dialysis center tried to convince me to get as many accesses put in while I had an appointment with an Access Surgeon. He told me to ask the surgeon to examine my body in preparation for installing as many accesses as possible for future use so that I'd be sure that I had them in place if and when I needed them.

There are several reasons why this occurs.

The most obvious of course is the more products and services that they can convince you or scare you into believing that you need; the more money they make.

So as I've said many times before, dialysis patients must be acutely aware of the fact that the sicker you are or become, the more money they can make off of you.

Sometimes, in order to boost profits when there are too many patients who they cannot intimidate or harass in to accepting unnecessary surgeries, pharmaceuticals consultations and other Dialysis Products and Services, they will look for the uninformed and vulnerable patients who either through a lack of knowledge about their disease and its treatment or through inexperience don't know any better.

The other reason is that this Unnecessary Mutilation of your body not only creates Severe Physical Trauma to the body, but it also leaves many Severe Emotional Scars that take away any hope of a patient being healthy again as the result of a cure. And to break you down and diminish your will so that you feel so helpless and hopeless that they can accomplish total control over you, which allows them to order things for you that may not be necessary to sustain your life.

They also try and convince you that the things that they order for you are designed to make you feel better- It's "The More Is Better Hypnotic Trance", that they try to put you in by saying a better access or more and more dialysis will make you feel better, (which is funny, because the people who order all of these things that make you feel better have no idea of how you feel in your body), because they are not and never have been on dialysis.

So my questions in response are: How in the hell do you know how I feel, and how do you know that I don't already feel as good as I want to feel without all of the Excessive Drugs, Surgeries, Procedures, Consultations and Pharmaceuticals that you claim I need to feel better, (which you who are not in my body), or you who do not have my disease is supposed to be able to tell me?

Here is the truth about how you are going to feel most of the time as a Dialysis Patient: "Like Shit!".

And all of the Unnecessary Excesses that they order for you are not going to make you feel much better.

Of course, sometimes you are going to get really sick; (and as a result), if they apply some of the necessary treatments with the intention of helping you to feel better and get better, you will feel better and get better.

But far too many times Dialysis Center Employees are trained to create problems where there are none for the purpose of increasing the Corporation's Bottom Line.

But the ugly truth that you need to know, (which many Dialysis Centers won't tell you), is that the amount of accesses that the body can accommodate is very limited-And you should know this so that you can stop them from "Accessing You To Death".

How do you know if you are being accessed to death?

Well! if every time you turn around, you are being told that you can't have a catheter because it it too dangerous, or that whatever your access is, it needs to be changed often so that you can feel better, and you are down to catheters in your Thighs, Calves, Groin, Legs, Ankles etc; then you are being or have been, accessed to death.

The ugly truth is that the Dialysis Industry will use Fear, Intimidation, Pain, Threats and Lies to get you to make them the most money possible by telling you that all of the many things that they order for you, will make you feel better and live longer, but I don't know how my entire body being mutilated by Unnecessary Access Surgeries or Poisoned by Unnecessary Pharmaceuticals and other Excessive Products and Services is going to increase the quality and quantity of my life.

If you have any doubts about this, just take a look at the Average Dialysis Patient who has allowed them to do anything to their bodies without question-you can definitely identify these patients immediately.

The bottom line is that most of what this industry does, it does to benefit itself in the form of more and more profits, which is what they have to do because, these centers are run by Large Corporations whose job is to make the Most Money Possible for their Stock Holders, and to do this, they really don't give a damn how bad you suffer or how much pain you go through or how quickly you die, because dialysis is becoming an epidemic which means once they are through with you, they will just replenish their stock with more patients who have had the unfortunate experience of having their kidneys fail.

Safer, Faster, Better?

There is nothing that is SAFE after your kidneys fail.

Everything that you choose is going to involve risks.

But I believe since it is the patient's life who we are talking about, the patient should have more authority when it comes to choosing any option that has to do with their treatment.

This is not the way that the Dialysis Industry currently operates.

The Dialysis Industry currently operates more like a Plantation or Concentration Camp where patients either accept Everything that they offer them, or they have the right to Cherry Pick those who do, and let those who don't die as a result of no treatment at all, because they want the Freedom to decide what they want and do not want done to their bodies.

This is not something that I have just heard talk of or that I just dreamed up.

I am that kind of Proactive Patient and have been for over 13 years now, and I have actually experienced the things I am speaking about here, and I have experienced these things at between 8 to 10 dialysis center.

This means that this Industry is in serious need of Reform and more Regulation than they currently are operating under.

The Dialysis Industry Is The Ultimate Death Panel! So do your homework so that no one can fool you into believing that the "Product of the Month" is going to work magic in your life in spite of the fact that you have End Stage Renal Failure.

Fact is: The only thing that can work "Real Magic" in your life as a person who has Kidney Failure is a CURE.

That is what this Blog is all about: "Creating The Movement To Cure Kidney Failure".

You On Dialysis? Who You Vote For Can Be A Matter Of Life & Death

There is an election rapidly approaching.

And even though it is not a Presidential Election, it is just as important, (if not more so, than the Presidential Election).

Because contrary to some people's popular beliefs; we do not have a king and this is not a Monarchy .

So if you will, consider the fact that even the President of the United State of America needs the support of Congress and the other branches of government to effectively and efficiently get productive and positive things done for our nation, then if you are sick and need help, then you need to pay attention to who is doing what in this country politically.

Now I am not going to debate with you about your Political Persuasion, but I am simply going to ask you to pay attention to those who want to cut Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, the SNAP Program and other programs that benefit people who may not be able to work, due to the tremendous pain, suffering and side effects that can be caused by the fact that your kidneys are not working, and by the processes that you must endure in order to stay alive.

There are far too many people who want to cut funds for your Treatments, Medications, Supplies, Transportation and all of the other necessities that End Stage Renal Failure Patients need to stay alive.

So please pay attention and vote accordingly.

Because to all of you who are sadly mistaken about how much your Dialysis Center and the Corporation that owns it loves you, (because of all of the things they do to keep you alive out of the goodness of their hearts)-If you want to be shaken awake to the truth about the matter; let the Federal Government Cut the Budget for all of those excessive things that they do to keep you alive.

Many of which are not necessary for your survival, but necessary for them to Maximize their Profits at Your Expense.
